Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Socio Connect LLC, an Indiana limited liability company ("Socio Connect", "we"). They cover your use of Socio Connect: our website, web app and mobile apps. By creating an account or using Socio Connect, you agree to them. If you use Socio Connect for an organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.

Communities and members

• An organisation that sets up Socio Connect ("community") is responsible for its account, its administrators, the people it invites, and the information it adds and sends.
• A community must have the right to use the information it adds about people, including consent where the law requires it (for example to send texts or emails). For children's information, this means a parent or guardian.
• Members use Socio Connect within their community, under that community's rules as well as these terms.
• Accounts are for people aged 13 and over. Keep your sign-in details to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

Acceptable use

Don't use Socio Connect to:

• break the law, or send spam or messages people haven't agreed to receive;
• harass, threaten or harm anyone, or share content that exploits children;
• upload malware, probe or overload the service, or get around its security or limits;
• access another community's information, or resell the service without our agreement.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.

Plans, payments and giving

• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and renew until cancelled. Trials end on the date shown, and you choose a plan to keep going. You can cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for.
• Gifts and payments to a community go to the community's own Stripe account. We don't take a platform fee on them; Stripe charges its own processing fees. The community is responsible for its gifts, refunds and any tax receipts.
• Prices may change; we will tell community administrators at least 30 days before a change affects them.

Your content

You and your community keep ownership of what you add to Socio Connect. You give us permission to store, copy and show it only as needed to run the service for you. A community can export its data at any time, and can ask us to delete it when it leaves.

Features that use AI

Some features suggest text or answer questions using AI. Suggestions can be wrong. Check them before relying on them or sending them, especially on pastoral, medical, legal or financial matters.

Other services

Socio Connect works with services run by others, such as Stripe, Zoom, Google, HubSpot, Salesforce, Planning Center and app stores. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Socio Connect available and secure, and we improve it continually, which means features may change. If we stop offering a feature you pay for, we will tell you in advance.

Ending your use

You can stop using Socio Connect at any time. We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, or for non-payment, after telling you where we reasonably can.

Disclaimers and liability

Socio Connect is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we don't give warranties beyond those in these terms, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount the community paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell community administrators before it takes effect. Continuing to use Socio Connect after that means you accept the change.

Law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Indiana, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@socio-connect.com.
